Hitch at his finest

The odd thing to me is that everyone on the right who covers this seems to be enraged about the fact that if someone did this to a Christian holy book or relic or whatever then there would be no crime. No one seems to feel that causing offence to religion is and should be a protected right under the notion of free speech. They seem to imply that if offenders of all religions were prosecuted equally there would be no problem. More evidence that the religious give their loyalty first to their god and not our freedom.

Hitchens is as always quite lucid even through all the booze.
